As a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Garcia established his own firm in 1990. His project experience includes vast numbers of site planning, new construction and revitalization projects. Specialty commissions include master planning, new facility design, investigations and repair, as well as historic preservation. His corporate culture demands integrity and nurtures creative energy. Mr. Garcia's experience in management channels those qualities into client-focused, value-oriented teams. His most significant achievement is the creation of this office environment. Robert R. Tyler, P.E., Vice-President |

Robert Tyler has over 25 years of experience in the planning and design of building structural systems. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1979. Robert's role as principal of the firm is to oversee all structural engineering design and production. In December 2002, Robert was instrumental in the founding of Structures + Haynes Whaley, a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certified by the State of Texas, which was founded to provide a highly qualified minority firm for public and institutional projects. |

Dante Angelini, P.E. |

Dante, a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, began working with Structures in 1997. His project experience includes alternative green building systems, historical renovations, high-end residential, together with specialized structures. After obtaining is license, Dante was promoted to Senior Project Manager and assists in the development of the office environment. Mr. Angelini's leadership contributes to the office forum by collaborating systematic design solutions with his constituents. His foremost presence is assisting other engineers in their efforts with efficient designs. Although his primary focus remains cultivating his office atmosphere, his straightforward and friendly attitude aids in organizing all professions participating on large projects. |

K. Mark Merryman, P.E., LEED AP |

Mark joined Haynes Whaley Associates in 1989 and has served as the manager of the firm’s Austin office since 2000. He has 15 years of experience in the planning and design of building structural systems. Mark works with a group of engineers and drafting staff that work together continuously to assure high-quality design on each project produced. Mark is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, a program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. |
