  Larry E. Whaley, P.E., President & Chief Executive Officer  
 

Larry Whaley is one of the founding members of Cardno Haynes Whaley. He is involved in all aspects of the business, overseeing public relations, marketing, and business development for all offices. Larry leads the firm in striving for creativity, sound engineering, and team collaboration. His education includes a Master of Science in Engineering in 1971 from Rice University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Highest Distinction in 1968 from University of Kentucky.

 
  Robert R. Tyler, P.E., Chief Operating Officer  
 

Robert currently manages all the day to day operations of the company in its three offices. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979 at which time he joined Cardno Haynes Whaley. Until 2008 Robert served as an Executive Vice President and headed one of its production groups in the Houston Office. Robert was instrumental in opening the firm’s Austin office in 2000, and later headed up its efforts in founding Structures + Haynes Whaley, a Historically Underutilized Business ( HUB ) certified by the State of Texas which was founded to provide a highly qualified minority firm for public and institutional projects.

 
  Mark A. Thompson, P.E., LEED AP, Executive Vice President  
 
Mark Thompson joined Cardno Haynes Whaley in 1977, one year after the firm's founding. His education includes a Master of Science in Structural Engineering in 1975 and a Bachelor of Science with Highest Honors in Civil Engineering in 1973, both from The University of Texas at Austin. Mark was responsible for opening the firm's Reston (Washington, DC) office in 1986. Mark is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, a program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.
 
  John D. Rohrer, P.E., Executive Vice President  
 
John has received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering in 1973 from The University of Texas at Austin. John manages a personnel group of engineers and drafting staff which work together continuously to assure high-quality design on each project produced. His work includes the NASA Sonny Carter Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, which won the 1997 Texas Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award by the Texas Section American Society of Civil Engineers.
 
  Wally B. Ford, P.E., Executive Vice President  
 

Wally specializes in high-rise design, having been involved in the design of numerous buildings of more than 25 stories. Wally earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree and Master of Civil Engineering degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He is dedicated to education and contributes to the architecture and engineering community by teaching a variety of courses. He served as a lecturer for structural courses in the Architecture Department of Rice University for ten years.

 
  Ronald Y. Chen, P.E., Vice President  
 
Ronald joined Cardno Haynes Whaley in 1984, and became a principal of the firm in 2008. He received a Master of Science in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1981, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan in 1976. Ronald collaborates with a group of engineers and drafting staff to manage project production.
 
  Frank Ah-Loy Lo , P.E., Vice President  
 
Frank joined Cardno Haynes Whaley in 1992, and became a principal of the firm in 2008. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1986 and a Master of Science in Engineering in 1988, both from Texas Tech University. Frank manages a personnel group of engineers and drafting staff which work together continuously to assure high-quality design on each project produced.
